Trail Running Camp - Tell Me More!
Yes, and so much more. Now in its eleventh year, ARE Event Productions' Trail Running Camp is a weekend all about YOU! While running is the foundation, there are limitless opportunities at camp.
We offer classes in yoga, core strength, balance and drills, along with slackline and other activities. Dippikill Pond is a popular spot at camp for swimming, kayaking, and canoeing.
We have seminars on such topics as stretching and nutrition, and have even offered Arts and Crafts, granola ball making (yes, a nutrious, high-energy snack), and dance classes!
Each night at our adult-only (21+) camp offers something special, from live music to S'mores by a fire and, of course, our well-known Talent Show that is always a highlight for many.
What are the accommodations?
Our camp is held at the Dippikill Wilderness Retreat in Warrensburg, NY (about 80 minutes north of Albany.) The 850 acre retreat has nine cabins of varying sizes and amenities.
All cabins include beds but you need to bring your own bedding. Some of the cabins are more luxurious, offering electricity and full kitchens. Others are a bit more rustic, located farther into the woods and without electricity.
Accommodations are reserved on a first-come/first-serve basis, so the sooner you register, the better chance of getting what is ideal for you.
Our cabins offer bunk rooms, lofts, and private rooms. Private rooms typically can accommodate two or three individuals. For large groups attending camp, contact us early as we often get groups looking to reserve entire cabins.
What fitness level should I be?
While our average camper is someone who runs 3 miles in around 30 minutes, camp is truly open to and geared towards anyone.
As there is so much to do, and many counselors to join you regardless of your pace, even if you are walking, that is just fine. You won't be alone.
Each year, we typically have a few campers who are at camp to enjoy the entire atmosphere and non-running activities.
While you certainly will maximize your experience by being able to attend the runs, if you're simply looking for a weekend away with varying types of exercise opportunities, this could be it!

- Decide if you want to attend solo or come with friends.
- Based upon #1, choose an accommodation either for yourself or that fits your group.
You can choose either a private room where you determine who you room with or one of the bunk rooms/lofts.
- Register for camp.
- Count the days until we are all together at Dippikill!
